Abstract

In the middle of last century traditional comparative literature received severe questions that led in the last decades to a profound review of its principles and matters still in motion today. A brief summary of this process will serve as an introduction to pose the problems that the undertaking of three objects of renewed relevance from that discipline shows: the histories of literature, the study of literary or cultural supranational phenomena and the ancient topic ut pictura poesis.
