Abstract

The story "La narración de la historia" by Carlos Correas (1931-2000) was published in Revista Centro, in 1959, causing a scandal that ended in the confiscation of what was the last issue of the publication. Correas has committed a flagrant transgression of the limits to what could be said in the late 50s social discourse, immersed in what Oscar Terán called "process of post peronist cultural modernization". In this essay I analyze Correas' narration as the emergence of a novel subjectivity which allows drawing a bridge between the socio-sexual and aesthetic dimension of Arlt's fictional world and what would later constitute Manuel Puig's narrative
