Abstract
In this work I research the new modulations of science fiction in the Argentinian cinema of the last decades by looking at how certain knowledge systems such as science, medicine and biotechnology are present in its imaginary. I will explore how some sort of futurist fantasy becomes pervaded with an arcane substratum evoking a mythological imaginary in permanent dialogue with the myths of psychoanalysis and cultural anthropology. For this purpose, I will analyze how the anthropological machine is articulated or disarticulated by studying the tensions around the treatment of bodies and the configuration of subjectivities
