"The clouds and all that" or "the most avant-garde is still a book", a dialogue with Frank Báez (a century after Altazor's flight)

Abstract

Inspired by the work of Vicente Huidobro, particularly by Altazor –an avant-garde skydiving poem–, Estefaní­a Calderón and the Dominican poet Frank Báez examine in this interview the relationships and influences of the historical avant-garde movements in the poetic present of Latin America and the Caribbean and wonder if an aviator spirit is still reflected in it. Simultaneously, they address urgent issues such as migration and the exploration of new digital territories and spaces for cultural and literary dissemination.
